McCarty Construction is a family-owned construction company operating in Saskatoon, SK. Those who know us, think of construction when they think of the McCarty’s – our family has spent decades through three generations perfecting our craft.
Our team spends the majority of the summer months on outdoor projects, such as fences, decks, and siding. The winter months are spent working on a variety of indoor projects – bathroom renovations, basement developments, painting projects, as well as we have developed and renovated a number of office spaces in Saskatoon. In addition, we run our sister company McCarty Homes year round, where we buy, rent, flip and sell homes in Biggar and Saskatoon.
Honesty, transparency, and integrity are all words that our team lives by. We are a fully licensed and insured contractor and we provide a comprehensive service, so our clients can sit back and enjoy peace of mind. As our repeat customers can attest to, our projects are nothing from ordinary. Our work is our livelihood, which is why we always aim to produce professional and quality craftmanship.

Favorite travel destination?
Every winter growing up, my family would travel down to Mexico and those trips hold some of my favorite memories. After I met my Italian girlfriend (now wife), we got the opportunity to travel to Italy twice and I can now say that those European adventures, exploring the smallest towns in Italy, are hands down by favorite travel memories.
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chicken wings
What do you like to do on your days off?
Golf, travel, and spend time with wife and daughter

Meeting new people and discussing their dream home and office renovation projects. I also love seeing the progress with the work we do, and the end result is always something I am proud of!

Our company history spans over decades within the McCarty family. For the past 8 years, Tyson has re-invented the company into what it is today, with the guidance and support of his father Mitch, and grandfather Bob. Tyson completed his four-year carpentry certificate through SIAST in 2013. While working and gaining experience at various construction companies in Saskatoon, Tyson always knew that he would find himself owning his own business one day. Shortly after he completed his schooling, he found himself discussing business with his dad and grandpa, and he decided to start up the family business again, McCarty Construction Ltd. Since then, the McCarty Construction team has completed hundreds of projects, and has hired a number of certified tradesmen, who work with trusted supplies and employ carpentry apprentices, to help them gain the experience in the workforce.

Why did you start McCarty Construction?
I’ve always has an entrepreneurial mind, and I saw an opportunity to start and grow my own business, after working for a variety of construction companies in Saskatoon. Also, owning a construction company is in my blood. My grandfather owned McCarty Construction in Biggar, SK for many, many years prior to when I started the company and transformed it into what it is today.
